Description : Developing Reading Comprehension by Paula J. Clarke, Emma Truelove, Charles Hulme, Margaret J. Snowling provides thye explanation about the importance of reading comprehension, poor comprehension profile, and invention materials for improving reading skills. There's also observation result, feedback, evaluation and data sharing.

Usefulness : The book makes a significant contribution to our understanding of the reading process. It provides further support to remind us the importance of language comprehension as well as decoding skills. As teachers, we are getting better at using evidence from research. We are beginning to use teaching strategies to know students' progress.
Schools and teachers know the central importance of reading comprehension for success in English. They also know how much it matters for grasping the meaning of the text. There is a huge gap in our knowledge of what to do to enable children who have poor comprehension to achieve the goals of reading comprehension.
